Bodybuilding fans around the world have been waiting for the next big thing to hit the competitive stage. On May 4th, the wait is over. Chris Hester, aka Raging Silverback, has arrived to let the entire world know he’s playing for keeps. It’s time to introduce Redcon1’s newest star and the future of men’s bodybuilding.
Chris Hester grew up in Chicago, Illinois. The men in his family played sports in their youths and naturally passed their love for athletics down to Chris. From the young age of six years old, Chris became obsessed with football. During high school at Carver Military Academy, he played safety and running back for four seasons. While training for football, Chris fell in love with the weight room.
Upon graduation, Chris pursued a degree in exercise science at the University of Alabama. Although his football playing days were behind him, the drive to enhance his physique was in its infancy. He took the work ethic he developed from the gridiron and began to apply it to bodybuilding.
Chris inspired himself to work harder and perfect the sport of bodybuilding by watching YouTube videos of Kai Greene. He watched Kai’s workout routines and marveled at his size, strength, and determination to be the best in the world. Chris used Kai’s inspiration to motivate him to work out every day after his classes in college with a few of his buddies. It wasn’t long before they noticed his strength increasing, size gains and was weighing over 265 lbs. It was at this time that Chris recognized that weightlifting and working out was not just a hobby for him, but had become a lifestyle.
In early 2017, Chris began to chisel away at the massive physique to currently weigh 215 lbs. as he hones his focus on his debut bodybuilding contest - the NPC Pittsburgh Championships, which is hosted by NPC President Jim Manion. The future is truly limitless for the 27-year-old rookie bodybuilder. If his plans come to fruition and walks away with a victory, look for Chris at a pro qualifier later in 2018.
Below is the blueprint that made the magic happen for Chris Hester and transform him into the hottest names to hit the NPC stage in over a decade.
Diet (Same everyday)
Meal 1: 7 organic eggs and 1/4 cup of jasmine rice
Meal 2: 16 oz of chicken breast, 2/3 of broccoli and 1/4 of jasmine rice
Meal 3: 8 oz of tilapia and 1 cup of mixed veggies
Meal 4: 16 oz of chicken breasts and 1/4 cup of jasmine rice
Meal 5: 3 sirloin steaks and 2 serving of asparagus (14 spears)
*Snack – 1 Small Container of Chobani Yogurt before bedtime
**Cheat Meal – 1 large pizza post leg workout
Target Macros for each day right now are:
Training (Instinctive and constantly changing)
Day 1: Chest/Triceps
Day 2: Back/Biceps
Day 3: Shoulders/Triceps/Forearms
Day 4: Quads and Calves
Day 5: Hamstrings/Calves/Forearms
*Abs are trained every day to start each workout
**Legs are trained every 4th day no matter what
***Cardio everyday – 25 minutes post workout – Spin Bike or Stairmaster
****Off days added when needed
