Are Protein Peanut Butter Cups Healthy?
A common misconception is that a lot of people think that peanut butter and chocolate are not healthy for you. However, this is not the case. This protein-packed peanut butter cup snack provides both carbs and protein, which will keep you feeling full for longer while giving your body a boost of energy.
To make these peanut butter cups even more nutritious, try using dark chocolate or cocoa powder instead of milk chocolate chips! Benefits of dark chocolate, compared to milk chocolate, are that dark chocolate contains less sugar. Dark chocolate also has a higher cocoa percentage and usually includes more antioxidants (which can help reduce risk of heart disease). The protein content in this delicious treat will keep you full with the added benefit of getting that extra boost from all those good fats!
If you’re looking for even more healthy alternatives to your peanut butter cups try using an alternative to peanut butter. You can use a peanut butter that includes all-natural ingredients, or you can take your peanut butter cups to the next level by adding even more protein or other healthy fats!
