Dallas Journey to the Olympia – Day 8

Day 8: August 23, 2015

Daily Notes

Notes From Matt

Dallas has already his low from last week so we will be making some slight changes to the diet today to slow down the rate of fat loss. Since today is a hamstring and glute dominant leg day we did a 20 min hard ab circuit for the cardio just to keep legs a bit more fresh leading into training. To me this contest prep is not just about bringing a really conditioned package but also with all of the new tissue that has been gained its my job to keep Dallas in an anabolic environment throughout prep to retain as much tissue as possible and not diet off the progress that he has made.

Be sure to following along today on IG and Snapchat as we document the training day!

Training – Hamstring and glute emphasis leg day

***We typically do not pyramid up in weight for our working sets, we find a weight to start working sets at and then complete the sets at that weight until form starts to breakdown or we are no longer getting a peak contraction, unless listed otherwise.

Today Dallas and I are meeting up with fellow Redcon1 Coach Joe Bennett to do a collaboration workout so I am going to post todays training as well as tomorrows training tomorrow!
